Privacy Policy
Effective date: 20-10-2026
Computer Guys operates the https://ourguys.co.za/tickets/ support system and its FreeScout Quality-of-Life Calendar integration (“the Integration”).
Information the Integration accesses
When an authorised user connects a Google Calendar account, the Integration requests access to:
- View the list of calendars available to that Google account.
- View events from calendars selected by the user.
- Create calendar events in a selected writable calendar when the user chooses to do so from FreeScout.
The Integration uses this access only to provide calendar functions inside FreeScout, including viewing calendars, creating calendar events, and linking events to FreeScout support tickets.
Information we store
The Integration stores the Google authorization credentials needed to maintain the connection in encrypted form on our server.
When an event is created or linked to a FreeScout ticket, FreeScout may store event-related information such as the event title, date and time, calendar provider, selected calendar, ticket reference, and a link to the event where available. This information is used to display the event history on the related support ticket.
We do not sell Google Calendar data or use it for advertising.
Sharing and access
Calendar access inside FreeScout is controlled by the permissions configured by the calendar connection owner and FreeScout administrators. Users may be granted view-only or edit access to a shared calendar connection.
Only users authorised in FreeScout can access calendar information made available through the Integration.
Data security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect information processed by the Integration. Google authorization credentials are stored encrypted at rest. Access to FreeScout is controlled by user accounts and permissions.
No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Google data
The Integration’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
The Google account owner can disconnect the calendar connection from FreeScout at any time. Disconnecting removes the stored connection credentials from FreeScout. Calendar events already created in Google Calendar remain in Google Calendar unless separately deleted there.
